To provide the strictest security we can, examinations must be submitted to us in a security envelope provided to you and will be kept in a locked, restricted cabinet until pick up. Exams are only handled by full-time staff members. Student assistants are not allowed to accept exams. The faculty members signature is required for pick up. Teaching assistants are not permitted to pick up exams.
Digital Document Management
Assistance is available in the following areas for faculty who do not have their own administrative assistants:
Research & professional papers
Editing & proof-reading documents
Scanning (digitization of paper documents, including archive projects)
Classroom teaching aids (exams, syllabi, handouts, PowerPoint slides)
Data entry
Mail merges
Letters, envelopes, labels
Pamphlets, booklets, programs
Charts, tables, equations
Troubleshooting software and document problems, advising
To ensure accuracy and your satisfaction, all work requests for word processing must be reviewed upon completion before submitting for duplication.
Color Copying & Printing
This opportunity is offered to all Mendoza faculty and staff at a discount rate, which can either be paid with cash or charged to your college account number. A completed charge authorization form will be required prior to copying/printing. These forms are available in the Center.
The discounted prices are as follows:
Single Copy/Print $0.50
Materials must be brought in copy-ready mode.
Scanning
We also offer scanning service. Documents may be scanned in either text format (can be manipulated) or graphic format (cannot be manipulated-for viewing only).
Scanning technology is a useful tool for archiving documents for safekeeping and easy retrieval. Documents are scanned, converted to PDF format, and saved to CDs, thereby freeing up hard drive space.

Other Services
Fax Service is available in our department. Incoming faxes will be placed in y our mailbox and a staff member will call to notify you. There is a charge for personal faxes. Our fax number is (574) 631-5255.
U.S. Mail is delivered once a day, typically around 9:00AM and it is picked up twice daily. Campus Mail is delivered and picked up twice a day, around 9:30AM and 2:00PM.
Office Supplies
All office supplies will be distributed through faculty support. Please email us at mcobfsc@nd.edu with your supply request and we will place them in your mailbox.

Our inventory of available supplies is based on past purchases. We will consider all additional requests; however, some specialty items will need to be purchased through your department.
- What if I want a special type of pen that is not on the list, can you add it to the current supplies?
We have ten different types of pens in our inventory. Again, this list was compiled from the most frequently ordered in prior years. Pens outside this list will be considered special order.

Your department will still be responsible for all stationary needs, including: letterhead, envelopes, and business cards.
- Where can I obtain gifts for class speakers?
Please contact your department or Dean’s office regarding speaker gifts.
